Catering to carnivores, herbivores and omnivores that prefer organic produce from local sources. Our food is prepared in house - including bread, pastries and diabolically delicious desserts. We hope to avoid the pitfalls of both "health food" puritanism and gourmet pretention while delivering healthy, tasty dishes.

The Abbey is definitely a restaurant. A place to eat and drink and enjoy conversation. Where people of different ages and degrees of cool can relax and have fun. A hospitable environment for drinkers and non-drinkers alike. A locus for the community including the best of what cafés and pubs have always contributed to culture. A home too for good music and creative entertainment.

The 28 yr. old Caesar's Palace was gutted and entirely rebuilt by a team under the leadership of Hugh Shankland, former Production Designer of the hit Canadian T.V. series Corner Gas. The same team won the Premier's Award for Excellence in design for the creation of the Spadina Freehouse in Saskatoon. Recently Hugh and friends added a patio which has been an instant hit with patrons.
